About Rodney King

Helping You Define and Plan for the Retirement You Want

I help people define what they want their retirement to look like and bring the financial strategies together to help make it possible.

I believe preparing for retirement isn’t simply about accumulating enough money. The real challenge often begins when the paycheck stops. That’s when the questions become more important: How much can I safely spend? Where should my income come from? How should I manage my withdrawals and taxes? How do I protect what I’ve worked so hard to accumulate? And how do I prepare for the things I can’t predict?

As a Retirement Income Certified Professional® (RICP®) and Certified Financial Fiduciary® (CF2®), I help individuals and families work through these questions and develop a retirement plan that fits their circumstances.

I believe retirement planning should look at the entire picture—not just investments. Income, withdrawals, taxes, Social Security, market risk, healthcare, long-term care, and protecting your assets all have a place in the conversation. Depending on your circumstances, these areas may require different strategies that work together as part of your overall retirement plan.

Education has also been an important part of my work. I’ve had the opportunity to conduct educational programs on Social Security, Medicare, Retirement Income Planning, and Long-Term Care, helping individuals better understand the choices and decisions they may face as they approach and move through retirement.

Many people know they want a comfortable retirement, but they haven’t really defined what that means. My role is to help you put those goals into perspective, determine what it will take financially, and bring the different pieces of your financial plan together to support the retirement you envision.
