About James Craco

With more than 25 years in financial services, James P Craco, AIF®, CF2® is a Registered Investment Advisor Representative (IAR) with experience spanning portfolio construction, fixed income markets, and fiduciary-based financial planning. He holds a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Business Administration from Babson College, with a major in Finance and Investments and a minor in Economics. Professional designations include Accredited Investment Fiduciary® and Certified Financial Fiduciary®.
James began his career in New York City, supporting individual investors with equity and fixed income portfolio strategies, and later worked in institutional fixed income environments focused on portfolio management, risk analysis, and client servicing. His background includes experience with both retail and institutional market structures, informing a disciplined and evidence-based approach to investment decision-making. I believe effective wealth management is not about reacting to markets, but about building durable strategies designed to perform across all market cycles.

As an experienced advisor, James focuses on long-term planning, portfolio design, retirement strategy, and risk management. His approach emphasizes documented due diligence, transparent fees, and alignment of recommendations with each client’s objectives and risk tolerance. He works collaboratively with clients and, when appropriate, coordinates with tax and legal professionals to support comprehensive planning.
James resides in Fairfield, Connecticut with his family. Outside of work, he enjoys spending time on Long Island Sound with his family and community involvement (volunteering, specifically teaching adult financial literacy).
